This is an argument you often see on Apple blogs. Somebody complains about something Apple does because it’s annoying to users, and an Apple blogger justifies Apple’s decision by noting that it’s good for Apple. Well, yes. I think we all understand that Apple does things that are good for Apple. That is, however, no reason for us to like them.
Yes, Apple chose wrongly when they went with another proprietary connector instead of simply going with micro-USB. Not because they did something that’s bad for Apple, but because they did something that’s bad for everybody else.
